- JinkoSolar, the global leading PV and ESS supplier, recently has became the single largest supplier of solar panels for India’s biggest solar project with AGEL.
- Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), the world’s second-largest solar PV developer, is spearheading a groundbreaking renewable energy initiative in Khavda, Kutch, Gujarat, India.
- The ambitious project spans 538 km², an area five times the size of Paris, and aims to develop 30 GW of renewable energy on barren land.
- To date, AGEL has already installed 3.5 GW.
JinkoSolar has been chosen as the primary supplier for this monumental project, delivering a total of 2381 MW of solar panels. This includes 1370 MW of Tiger Neo Bifacial and 1011 MW of Tiger Pro Bifacial modules, making it the single largest order in the history of India’s solar industry. Deliveries commenced in August 2023 and were completed by January 2024.
The 1370 MW of Tiger Neo panels also represents the largest single order of N-Type TOPCon modules in India and across all Jinko regions.
JinkoSolar is also the proud solar panel supplier for Africa’s largest rooftop solar project, a 16.8 MWp installation at the Edge Green-certified Mega warehouse in Ghana’s Tema Free Zone. Equipped with Jinko’s 575W N-Type modules, it’s set to generate 24,750 MWh of clean energy annually. This initiative, owned by Helios Solar Company and executed by Dutch & Co, is a beacon of sustainable energy on the continent.
