- In August 2020, the Eswatini Energy Regulatory Authority (ESERA), in consultation with the Minister of Natural Resources and Energy, launched the request for qualification process (RFQ) to shortlist suitably qualified applicants to participate in the request for proposals (RFP) process for the development of circa 40 MW of biomass projects.
ESERA is pleased to invite parties that are interested in the development of biomass projects in Eswatini (i.e. developers, biomass feedstock suppliers, lenders, contractors, etc.) to an online workshop on the RFQ to be held on 11 February 2021, from 10h00 – 12h00.
The key objectives of the workshop are:
- To allow ESERA to present the RFQ documentation and to highlight key issues relating to the RFQ;
- To provide an opportunity to engage with ESERA on the RFQ by raising oral questions and receiving indicative oral responses (where possible)
- To allow participants to raise key areas of concern that they may be facing in responding to the RFQ
ESERA requests that parties wishing to attend the workshop should kindly inform ESERA by 05 February 2021 by sending an email to the ESERA Consumer and Stakeholder Management Manager on: nkambules@esera.org.sz
