- On the back of reaching financial close on the US$10 billion Lake Albert crude oil project in Uganda earlier today, TotalEnergies has announced that it has signed an MOU with the Ugandan Ministry of Energy and Minerals for the development of renewable energy projects in that country.
The objective is to develop 1 GW of installed capacity, promoting access to electricity and clean energy and supporting national climate change objectives through the deployment of carbon footprint reduction projects.
No further details were announced.
