South Africa’s Natonal Energy Crisis Commitee/Operation Vulindlela Update on Energy

  • Operation Vulindlela is working through the Natonal Energy Crisis Commitee (NECOM) to ensure full implementation of the Energy Acton Plan announced by President Ramaphosa in July 2022.
  • The plan outlines a clear path to reducing the severity and frequency of load shedding in the short term, and achieving energy security in the long term through a fundamental reform of the electricity sector. 
  • Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, plus other representatives from NECOM on Tuesday provided an update on Operation Vulindlela.
