- InfoLink says module (solar panel) prices in China held steady this week, with TOPCon delivery prices at RMB 0.65 to 0.73/W for ground mounted projects and RMB 0.70 to 0.76/W for distributed projects.
- Outside China, average TOPCon module prices fell to US$0.115/W, while U.S. assembled modules ranged from US$0.30 to 0.33/W.
- Module prices may still ease further in the short term as weak demand and cost pressure continue to weigh on the market.
InfoLink reports that module prices in China were broadly unchanged this week, even as the market continued to face pressure from weak end demand and intense price bargaining. The consultancy said actual delivery prices for TOPCon modules were around RMB 0.65 to 0.73/W for ground mounted projects and RMB 0.70 to 0.76/W for distributed projects.
The firm noted that China’s monthly module output is expected to rise to 37 to 38 GW in July, up by about 4 to 5 GW from last month, with global production plans increasing to 48 to 49 GW. That pickup in supply comes as ground mounted project demand in China begins to recover gradually, but prices remain under strain.
InfoLink said the short term outlook remains soft because weak demand has not been enough to offset cost pressures, including volatility in silver prices. It added that buyers are increasingly pushing module makers to lower quotes, reversing the earlier logic used by suppliers to justify higher prices.
Outside China, the average TOPCon module price fell to US$0.115/W. In the Middle East, shipment disruptions and logistics delays linked to the war are limiting price momentum, while freight costs to Europe have surged, with China to Northern Europe shipping rates set to exceed US$6,000 per 40 foot high cube container.
In the United States, module prices continue to vary widely depending on domestic content share, with U.S. assembled modules currently priced at US$0.30 to 0.33/W.
