Nine IPP’s Pre-Qualified for Ivory Coast 60MW Solar PV Tender

  • The Ivorian government and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) have announced the results of the pre-qualification process for two solar PV plants totalling 60MW. 
  • The two plants will be located in Laboa and Touba.
  • The successful independent power producer (IPP) winners will develop the facilities under the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) Scaling Solar Programme in the form of a public-private partnership. 

The pre-qualified bidders selected are France’s Voltalia, Egypt’s Elsewedy Electric, UK’s Globeleq Africa Holdings Limited, Morocco’s Nareva Holding, Norway’s Scatec (with a French address), UAE’s Infinity Power Holding, Italy’s Enel Green Power, France’s Green Yellow, and the consortium of France’s EDF Renouvelables & Senegal’s Meridiam.

The selected winner will be required to design, finance, construct and operate the 2 facilities. The outcome is expected to be announced in early Q1 2022.
