Nine IPP’s Pre-Qualified for Ivory Coast 60MW Solar PV Tender

The Ivorian government and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) have announced the results of the pre-qualification process for two solar PV plants totalling 60MW.
The two plants will be located in Laboa and Touba.
The successful independent power producer (IPP) winners will develop the facilities under the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) Scaling Solar Programme in the form of a public-private partnership.

The pre-qualified bidders selected are France’s Voltalia, Egypt’s Elsewedy Electric, UK’s Globeleq Africa Holdings Limited, Morocco’s Nareva Holding, Norway’s Scatec (with a French address), UAE’s Infinity Power Holding, Italy’s Enel Green Power, France’s Green Yellow, and the consortium of France’s EDF Renouvelables & Senegal’s Meridiam.

The selected winner will be required to design, finance, construct and operate the 2 facilities. The outcome is expected to be announced in early Q1 2022.
