- The Ivorian government and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) have announced the results of the pre-qualification process for two solar PV plants totalling 60MW.ย
- The two plants will be located in Laboa and Touba.
- The successful independent power producer (IPP) winners will develop the facilities under the International Finance Corporationโs (IFC) Scaling Solar Programme in the form of a public-private partnership.ย
The pre-qualified bidders selected are Franceโs Voltalia, Egyptโs Elsewedy Electric, UKโs Globeleq Africa Holdings Limited, Moroccoโs Nareva Holding, Norwayโs Scatec (with a French address), UAEโs Infinity Power Holding, Italyโs Enel Green Power, Franceโs Green Yellow, and the consortium of Franceโs EDF Renouvelables & Senegalโs Meridiam.
The selected winner will be required to design, finance, construct and operate the 2 facilities. The outcome is expected to be announced in early Q1 2022.
