- Launch of SunGiga G2 Plus 522 kWh liquid cooled system targeting C and I sector.
- AI powered energy management enhances revenue optimisation and market responsiveness.
- Advanced safety, grid forming capability and scalable deployment position system for diverse applications.
At Energy Storage International Conference and Expo 2026 in Beijing, Jinko ESS set out its strategic vision for the future of energy storage under the theme Solar Storage AI, Trinity for the Future, alongside the launch of its flagship SunGiga G2 Plus 522 kWh liquid cooled commercial and industrial system.
The new platform marks a significant step in the evolution of storage solutions for commercial and industrial users, combining artificial intelligence driven optimisation, advanced safety architecture and operational flexibility within a single integrated system.
At the core of the SunGiga G2 Plus is a proprietary AI powered electricity price forecasting algorithm paired with an intelligent energy management system. This enables the platform to analyse historical pricing, grid load trends and tariff structures to automatically generate optimised charge and discharge strategies. The system is designed to anticipate market conditions rather than react to them, improving lifecycle returns and enhancing revenue certainty for users.
Thermal performance and safety are central to the system design. The unit features a non uniform flow channel liquid cooling architecture that maintains cell temperature within 2 C, reducing degradation and extending operational life. This is complemented by a multi layer safety framework spanning cell, cluster and system levels, delivering full chain thermal runaway prevention and integrated fire protection.
The SunGiga platform also incorporates grid forming power conversion system technology, allowing seamless switching between grid connected and off grid modes in 20 milliseconds or less. This capability enables the system to support voltage and frequency stability, particularly in weak grid environments with high renewable penetration. The solution is suited to a range of use cases including peak valley arbitrage, demand management, backup power and ancillary services.
Designed for deployment in challenging environments, the system features IP55 protection and C5 anti corrosion ratings, enabling reliable operation in high temperature, high humidity and coastal conditions without the need for additional infrastructure. The platform supports parallel expansion up to 3 MWh, allowing scalability across industrial parks, commercial facilities, data centres and microgrids.
Jinko ESS also highlighted its broader storage portfolio at the event, including the SunGiga G2 261 kWh system and the utility scale SunTera platform. The latter recently achieved certification under the 2026 edition of UL 9540A following large scale fire testing, reinforcing the company’s focus on safety and bankability.
The launch signals Jinko ESS’s continued push to integrate intelligence, resilience and application driven value into next generation energy storage systems, as competition intensifies across global C and I and utility scale markets.
