  • Jinko ESS has announced the successful delivery of a 5.96MWh SunTera energy storage system to a gold mining project in Puro, Aroroy, Masbate, marking a milestone in the company’s expansion into the Philippine market.
  • The system was delivered at full capacity in September 2025 and represents Jinko ESS’s flagship industrial project in the country.

The SunTera liquid-cooled energy storage system will provide reliable power support for mining and refining operations, enabling efficient energy management and improved cost control. Once operational, the system will help reduce electricity costs by balancing peak and off-peak power demand, improving grid stability, and enhancing resilience in this remote region.

The installation is also expected to cut carbon emissions by several thousand tons per year by reducing dependence on diesel generators, supporting the mine’s transition to more sustainable energy sources.

“This marks the first large-scale deployment of Jinko ESS’s SunTera liquid-cooled storage system in the Philippine mining industry,” said Bright Wang, General Manager of Jinko ESS Asia-Pacific. “Despite the region’s challenging tropical climate, the system has shown excellent environmental adaptability and reliability, paving the way for our broader expansion across Southeast Asia.”
