Ethiopia Announces Tender for 25 Solar Mini-Grids

  • The Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) in partnership with the African Development Bank, has issued a tender for 25 solar mini grids for selected villages in the country.
  • The systems must include a solar plant, back-up diesel generator and battery storage.
  • The service provider must also provide a operation and maintenance service for the first three months.

The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received Financing from the African Development Bank (ADB) in various currencies towards the cost of Design, Supply, Installation, Commissioning and 3 months Operation and Maintenance of Photovoltaic Mini – Grid Projects in 25 different Rural Towns/Villages.

Bids must be delivered on or before14:00 PM Local Time datedon11th November2019
