Botswana Issues Pre-Qualification Tender to IPP’s for 200MW Concentrated Solar Plant

  • Botswana’s Ministry of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security (MMGE) has issued a tender for the pre-qualification of prospective independent power producers (IPP’s) for the construction of  2 x 100MW solar concentrated solar plants (CSP). 
  • The IPP must design, finance, build, own, operate, maintain, and decommission the two plants at the end of their life. 
  • The two plants will be located in Maun/Letlhakane.
