Zambia Launches EOI Tender for a Total of 50MW Solar PV Capacity Across Three Locations

  • Zambia’s state owned energy utility, ZESCO, has release an expression of interest tender for three solar projects totalling 50MW.
  • The projects will be located Southern, Western and Luapula Provinces of the country.
  • Project developers and financiers are invited to tender before 2 September 2022 at 10:30am.

The selected developers will be expected to finance, construct and operate the solar plants as independent power producers (IPP) after handing in associated feasibility studies. The JV will be held by the selected developer and ZESCO with the awarded developer holding 90% and Zesco 10% equity.

The expression of interest shall be opened in the ZESCO Auditorium, located at the Procurement Division Offices within the ZESCO Limited Head Office premises. Immediately thereafter, the opening of the applications will take place in the presence of applicants and/or their representatives who shall choose to attend.
