The Tanzania Geothermal Development Company (TGDC) is inviting bids from qualified consulting firms and service providers for the Kiejo Mbaka Geothermal Project located in the Rungwe district of the Mbeya Region in Tanzania.
The consultancy scope covers the planning and supervision of a geothermal drilling programme that will include three slim wells with an estimated depth of 1,500 m each, as well as one full size production well expected to reach approximately 1,800 m.
In addition to the drilling programme, the selected consultant will undertake a pre-feasibility reservoir assessment study aimed at evaluating the geothermal resource potential of the Kiejo Mbaka field. The study will focus on determining reservoir capacity, temperature characteristics, permeability, and geothermal fluid chemistry.
The project forms part of Tanzania’s broader efforts to expand indigenous renewable energy resources and diversify its electricity generation mix through geothermal development.
