Tanzania Issues Invitation for Qualification for 200Mw Wind Projects

  • TANESCO intends to procure power generation from a set of wind power projects with total capacity of up to 200 MW from Singida, Njombe and Dodoma Regions.
  • The projects must have a capacity of not less than 50 MW and no more than 100MW.
  • Invitation for qualification deadline is Friday 19th October 2018.

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through Tanzania Electric Supply Company Ltd (TANESCO) has issued an invitation for qualification for large wind power generating projects with a total capacity of 200MW at different locations within Tanzania

TANESCO presents this opportunity to prospective developers to undertake feasibility study, finance, build, own, operate and transfer wind power projects of capacity of not less than 50 MW and no more than 100MW.

TANESCO intends to procure power generation from a set of wind power projects with total capacity of up to 200 MW from Singida, Njombe and Dodoma Regions. Projects should be completed between 2018 and 2020.
