- Bid Window 6 of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme’s (REIPPPP) request for proposals (RFP) has been amended by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (“DMRE”). The capacity to be procured will now be 4200MW (3200MW wind and 1000MW solar).
The wind energy allocation has increased from 2600MW to 3200MW while the allocation for solar remains at 1000MW for now. The press statement released by the DMRE on 9 September reads as follows:
