  • The recognition based on installer feedback, brand perception, and market performance.
  • Solar PV expected to account for nearly 80% of 4,600 GW global renewable capacity growth by 2030.
  • The award underscores strong demand for reliable inverters amid Africa’s rising electricity needs.

Solis has been awarded the EUPD Top Brand PV Award in South Africa for the 11th consecutive year, reinforcing its position in one of Africa’s most competitive solar markets. The accolade, presented by EUPD Research, reflects comprehensive installer feedback, brand perception analysis, and market performance across key photovoltaic markets.

The recognition comes at a time of accelerating electricity demand across Africa, particularly in South Africa, where energy supply constraints and rising costs continue to drive investment in renewable energy solutions.

According to Mark Neale, the award reflects long term installer confidence in the brand. He noted that since monitoring began in 2015, installers have consistently highlighted Solis for product reliability, ease of installation, and responsive service support. This installer driven assessment has contributed to the company’s sustained recognition in the market.

The award also highlights Solis’ standing within the global solar inverter and energy storage sector. Engineering, procurement, and construction partners, alongside installers, continue to prioritise high performance and dependable solutions across residential, commercial, and utility scale applications.

Growing volatility in global energy markets has further strengthened the case for renewable energy deployment. Fluctuating prices of fossil fuels such as oil and natural gas are increasing the focus on energy security and long term resilience. Solar PV and other clean energy technologies are increasingly viewed as critical enablers of energy independence and sustainability.

Data from the International Energy Agency indicates that global renewable energy capacity is projected to expand by approximately 4,600 GW by 2030, with solar PV contributing nearly 80% of this growth.

In South Africa, policy momentum is also building to accelerate private sector participation in energy generation. During the 2026 State of the Nation Address, Cyril Ramaphosa emphasised the role of renewable energy in improving affordability, reliability, and industrial competitiveness, while advancing a just energy transition.

Against this backdrop, Solis continues to expand its portfolio of grid connected and hybrid energy storage inverters, positioning itself as a key partner in decentralised energy systems. The company’s solutions are designed to support greater energy resilience and sustainability across emerging and established markets.

Founded in 2005, Solis, part of Ginlong Technologies, is ranked among the global top three inverter manufacturers. The company delivers energy storage and smart energy management solutions across residential, commercial and industrial, and utility scale applications, serving customers worldwide.
