SolaX Power accelerates global expansion with new energy storage manufacturing campus and growing African market presence

SolaX Power is accelerating its global growth strategy with the development of a new Utility Scale Energy Storage and Heat Pump Smart Energy Ecosystem R&D and Manufacturing Campus, as demand for large scale energy storage solutions continues to surge worldwide.

The company confirmed that construction progress at the new facility is advancing rapidly, with the main structural works nearing completion. Phased production is expected to commence in the second half of 2026, significantly strengthening SolaX Power’s research, manufacturing and global supply capabilities.

The new campus forms part of the company’s long term strategy to support the transition toward cleaner, smarter and more resilient energy systems. The facility is expected to play a critical role in scaling production of advanced energy storage technologies and integrated smart energy solutions for global markets.

Founded in 2012, SolaX Power has established itself as a major player in the global photovoltaic energy storage sector. Kenya continues to emerge as one of Africa’s leading solar markets, supported by rising electricity demand and increasing adoption of distributed energy solutions. During the event, SolaX outlined its 2026 market vision and strategic priorities, positioning local partners to benefit from growing opportunities in the residential, commercial and industrial energy sectors.

The company also showcased its integrated portfolio of inverters, batteries and energy storage systems, while outlining a partnership roadmap designed to strengthen collaboration and unlock new market opportunities across the continent.

SolaX noted that ongoing engagement with local stakeholders will remain essential in supporting Africa’s clean energy transition, particularly as demand for sustainable and reliable power infrastructure continues to rise.

In addition to its expansion activities, SolaX Power has also received international industry recognition after securing the 2026 EUPD Research Top Brand PV Awards for the United Kingdom in both the inverter and energy storage categories. The awards were presented during Solar and Storage Live London.

The latest awards extend the company’s strong track record in the UK market, marking five consecutive years of recognition from EUPD Research. Since 2022, SolaX has consistently received honours across both inverter and storage categories, reflecting sustained market confidence in its technology offering and customer support capabilities.
