Shanxi Electric Power Construction Co awarded 30MW solar project in Eritrea

  • The Shanxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd has been awarded a 30MW hybrid solar PV/battery storage project by the Ministry of Energy and Mines in Eritrea.
  • The Dekemhare 30MW Solar PV Project is valued at around EUR 29 million.  

The selection of China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd from a total of 11 international bidders, underscores the expertise and capabilities required to undertake such a significant renewable energy project. The Ministry of Energy and Mines said in a statement that they look forward to the successful implementation of the Dekemhare 30MW Solar PV Project, which will contribute to Eritrea’s sustainable development goals and enhance its energy security.
