Republic of Maldives invites bids for 12.5MW solar power

  • Bidders are invited to submit bids for the installation of 12.5 MWp Grid-tied Solar Photovoltaic Systems in selected islands in the Republic of Maldives, under Design, Build, Finance, Own, Operate, Maintain and Transfer Basis.

The Government of Maldives, with support from Asian Development Bank (ADB), has proposed to implement Accelerating Sustainable System Development Using Renewable Energy (ASSURE) Project which will support capital intense investments to support renewable energy development. To complement this project, the Government of Maldives is undertaking a project which will install 12.5MWp solar PV systems in selected islands of the Maldives.
