- South Africa’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa yesterday met with Chairperson of the Board of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Mitsubishi Power), Mr Seiji Izumisawa ,on the margins of the 9th TICAD Summit held in Yokahama, Japan.
- The theme of the summit is “Co-creating Innovative Solutions With Africa”.
Mitsubishi Power Africa services boilers at Medupi & Kusile, and markets hydrogen capable turbines and “triple hybrid” off grid systems across SADC. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries partnered with Eskom on earlier NOx reduction retrofit studies; focusing on gas peaking and industrial cogeneration prospects.
President Ramaphosa is advancing South Africa’s Presidency of the G20 and bilateral economic engagements with the government and industry leaders of Japan with a view to strengthening trade a and investment ties between South Africa and Japan.
