Mozambique: Energy Minister Visits Floating LNG Platform

  • Mozambique’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Carlos Zacarias, visited the Coral South Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) platform in the Rovuma basin, off the coast of Cabo Delgado last week Friday.

The minister toured the various components of the platform, which is in the final stage of commissioning and is about to enter the production phase.

“Right now, the level of execution is at almost 100 percent, and activities aimed at the start of liquefied natural gas production are well underway,” Minister Zacarias noted.

The minister’s visit to the Coral Sul platform is part of the regular monitoring of the implementation of activities planned by the government.
