- The Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen) has launched a solar EPC tender for the construction of seven photovoltaic plants with a combined capacity of 260 MW.
The projects will be located in Ain Beni Mathar (42 MW), Enjil (42 MW), Boudnib (36 MW), Outat el Haj (36 MW), Bouanane (30 MW), and Tan-Tan et à Tata, which will host two 36 MW facilities.
Morocco has around fifty renewable energy projects in operation, with a total capacity of 4109 MW. Masen contributes significantly to the Kingdom’s energy transition through the management of electricity projects from renewable sources, both wind and solar. Indeed, 2500 MW are committed to solar while 1320 MW are committed to wind power and 360 MW to hydroelectricity.
