- The Central Electricity Board (CEB) of Mauritius has launched an international tender for the supply of grid-tied, roof-mounted hybrid solar photovoltaic systems with a combined capacity of 2 megawatt-peak (MWp) on the island of Rodrigues.
Issued under Section 16 of the Public Procurement Act 2006, as amended, the invitation is open to eligible and qualified bidders through the Government of Mauritius’ e-Procurement System. The procurement, referenced OAB-CPR-2025-9778 (IFB 10478), covers the provision of goods for the development of renewable energy infrastructure in Rodrigues.
Interested bidders can download the bidding documents from the e-Procurement System using the reference number CEB/IFB/2025/10478. Submissions must be made electronically by no later than 1.30pm Mauritian time on Monday 2 February 2026.
A compulsory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday 14 January 2026 at 10.00am at the CEB office in Port Mathurin, Rodrigues, to allow prospective bidders to familiarise themselves with the project locations.
The CEB has stated that it reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, or to cancel the tender process entirely at any stage prior to contract award, without incurring liability to bidders.
The project forms part of Mauritius’ broader efforts to expand renewable energy generation and reduce reliance on fossil fuels, particularly in its outer islands.
