The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), with funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB), invites consulting firms to provide technical assistance to the Government of Mauritania under the PROREV Project. The project aims to develop Green Mini-Grids to increase electricity access in rural localities, aligned with Mauritania’s renewable energy targets and the AfDB Desert-to-Power Initiative.

The assignment falls under the Desert-to-Power Regional Technical Assistance Project for the Sahel (ReTAPS), which seeks to create an enabling environment for solar energy projects and mobilize private sector investment in both on-grid and mini-grid sectors.

The  services  included  under  this  project  consist  of  technical  assistance  to  support  the electrification of priority rural localities in Mauritania through the development of green mini grids(solar PV or hybrid solutions), including feasibility analysis, preparation of project documents and financial models, over an estimated period of 6 months

Green Building Africa promotes the need for net carbon zero buildings and cities in Africa. We are fiercely independent and encourage outlying thinkers to contribute to the #netcarbonzero movement. Climate change is upon us and now is the time to react in a more diverse and broader approach to sustainability in the built environment. We challenge architects, property developers, urban planners, renewable energy professionals and green building specialists. We also challenge the funding houses and regulators and the role they play in facilitating investment into green projects. Lastly, we explore and investigate new technology and real-time data to speed up the journey in realising a net carbon zero environment for our children.
