Maldives launches tender for 20MWp solar PV systems for 20 islands under PPP model

Tender

  • Installation of 20 MWp Grid-tied Solar Photovoltaic Systems in Selected Islands in the Republic of Maldives, under Design, Build, Finance, Own, Operate, Maintain and Transfer Basis.

The Government of Maldives, with support from Asian Development Bank (ADB), has proposed to implement Accelerating Sustainable System Development Using Renewable Energy (ASSURE) Project which will support capital intense investments (Battery Energy Storage, Grid Upgrades and Energy Management Systems) to support renewable energy development. To complement this project, the Government of Maldives is undertaking a project which will install 20MWp solar PV systems in 20 inhabited islands of the Maldives under Public-Private Partnership model.
