KenGen Issues RFP for Olkaria VII Geothermal Power Plant Feasibility Study

  • Kenya’s state owned energy utility, KenGen, has published a Request for Proposals (RFP) for consultancy services for the “Olkaria VII Geothermal Power Plant Feasibility Study.”

The deadline for submission via the KenGen e-Procurement platform is 17th November 2022 at 10:00 AM EAT. There will be a mandatory site visit and Pre-Bid Conference on the 1st of November starting at 10:00 AM EAT at the Geothermal Plaza in Olkaria-Naivasha.

Kenya is Africa’s largest producer of geothermal energy with an installed capacity of 863 MW, which is around 48% of total power generated in Kenya.
