  • JinkoSolar, the global leading PV and ESS supplier has been awarded a supply contract for 1 GWh of its second-generation liquid cooling energy storage system SunTera by Jiangsu Sunrev New Energy Co., Ltd.
  • The SunTera offers one of the largest unit capacity, with 5MWh of power enclosed in a 20-foot containerised ESS, making it one of the most powerful LFP battery-based energy storage systems in the market.
  • The high quality BESS system also offers the most efficient charging/discharging rates up to 94% at the system level.

It is also the safest. To make this possible, JinkoSolar relies on a unique feature of liquid cooling ESS: maintaining the smallest temperature difference between cells, controlled within 2 Celsius degrees, since temperature non-uniformity is a primary factor in performance loss, reduced lifecycle and more critically fire hazards. JinkoSolar amplifies this feature with multiple levels of protection, to avoid fire catching, spread and explosions.

Other features include:

  • The lowest energy consumption: Unlike air cooling or conventional liquid cooling which is blind-cooling, JinkoSolar’s ESS automatic on-demand liquid cooling is more precise and targeted, saving up to 30% of energy.
  • Smart tech: Aided by AI computing, integrated monitoring sensors, advanced software, cloud-based interconnectivity and remote control, JinkoSolar’s ESS defies the competition of smart O&M.

With a skilled and experienced international team, JinkoSolar is committed to delivering high-quality, scalable energy storage solutions globally, advancing the adoption of clean energy.

Green Building Africa promotes the need for net carbon zero buildings and cities in Africa. We are fiercely independent and encourage outlying thinkers to contribute to the #netcarbonzero movement. Climate change is upon us and now is the time to react in a more diverse and broader approach to sustainability in the built environment. We challenge architects, property developers, urban planners, renewable energy professionals and green building specialists. We also challenge the funding houses and regulators and the role they play in facilitating investment into green projects. Lastly, we explore and investigate new technology and real-time data to speed up the journey in realising a net carbon zero environment for our children.
