JinkoSolar Launches World Leading N-Type Tiger Neo Solar Panels in Lagos, Nigeria

Jinko Solar Webinar

  • Jinko Solar (Jinko), one of the largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers in the world, has  launched its new N-Type module, the Tiger Neo, and presented the Energy Storage Solutions at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos, Nigeria.

Tiger Neo produces over 3% more power than its P-PERC counterparts owing to its benefits including lower degradation, higher temperature coefficient, better low light performance in the morning and later afternoon, a lower rate of LID (light-induced degradation) and does not suffer from LeTID (light and elevated temperature induced degradation), unlike P-type cells. The main motivation behind the development of more powerful solar panels such as Tiger Neo is to reduce the cost of solar projects and ultimately electricity prices.

This launch took place as Jinko Solar is still celebrating its 100GW distribution of solar modules globally being the first company in history to achieve this milestone. With a 12% global market share, approximately one out of every ten solar panels installed worldwide is produced by Jinko Solar. Jinko Solar Head of Technical Mr Titus Koech also mentioned that “The new paradigm shift to N type PV modules is a game changer to having  Solar PV a very competitive energy generation technology in comparison with tradition fossil fuels and even among other renewable energy sources like geothermal, hydro, Biomass, offshore wind  etc.  ”

Jinko Solar continues to lead the PV industry as it has been recognized as a Top Performer in PV Evolution Labs’ 2022 PV Module Reliability Scorecard. Since 2014, Jinko Solar has been rated a Top Performer eight consecutive times, making it one of only two module manufacturers to accomplish this feat. Jinko Solar’s extensive R&D capabilities and dedication to module excellence have contributed greatly to this success
