- JinkoSolars’ energy storage division has announced its latest version of the SunGiga series, the 520 kWh 3-phase C&I-scale storage system which can deliver either 125 kW or 250 kW AC output power for up to 4 hours and 2 hours, respectively.
- A total of 12 units can be connected in parallel, scaling the system up to 6.2 MWh.
This new model offers multiple advanced features. Equipped with 310 Ah battery cells, this storage solution, which can store up to 520 kWh of energy, can deliver up to 125 kW of 3-phase AC power for 4 hours in backup mode (on-grid configuration) or a standalone energy storage configuration. It can also feed a higher AC output power of up to 250 kW for up to 2 hours, meeting the diverse short-time power demand of industrial applications, says the company statement.
The system’s built-in functionality allows seamless switching between on-grid, off-grid, and microgrid modes, enabling compatibility with a broad range of applications and operating environments. For example, on-grid mode supports peak shaving and energy arbitrage, while off-grid mode provides reliable emergency backup power.
Its modular design, paired with a ‘plug-and-play’ feature, enhances installation efficiency and reduces installation costs by over 10% compared to traditional systems, according to Jinko ESS. To meet increasing C&I-scale energy needs, the system also offers scalability to up to 6.2 MWh by connecting 12 units in parallel.
Jinko ESS says it has integrated several protective features to address critical safety concerns in potentially hazardous industrial settings. These include advanced fire detection and response systems, intelligent thermal management, multi-level smart monitoring, and other safety mechanisms to ensure robust system operation and risk mitigation.
