  • Jinko ESS, a subsidiary of Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., has announced the signing of a contract to deploy a 25-megawatt-hour energy storage project in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
  • The installation will feature the company’s utility-scale SunTera G2 5MWh Energy Storage System, designed to strengthen grid stability and support the region’s shift toward more resilient and sustainable power infrastructure.

The project comes at a time when energy security remains a top priority for many countries in the MEA region. Jinko ESS said the SunTera G2 was selected for its high performance, robust safety standards, and efficient deployment features. Its containerised design is intended to reduce both installation time and project costs—an important advantage for large-scale developments in challenging environments.

“We are proud to be selected for this landmark project in the region, which represents a significant step forward for the country’s energy infrastructure,” said Asif SW, Head of Sales for Jinko ESS in the MEA region. “Our SunTera G2 system is engineered for reliability and efficiency in demanding conditions. This project not only highlights the growing global confidence in our technology but also demonstrates how advanced energy storage can be a catalyst for stability and economic development.”

The company says the project will offer critical grid support and help accelerate the region’s broader transition to clean energy.
