  • Partnership targets 1.1 GWh of energy storage capacity over two years.
  • Focus on domestic and international project development and technology integration.
  • Solutions to support grid stability and renewable energy uptake.

Jinko ESS has signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with a partner to accelerate the deployment of energy storage projects across key regions in Shaanxi Province, China. The collaboration, which spans the next two years, will focus on both domestic and international opportunities, alongside product innovation and resource integration.

The partnership outlines a total planned capacity of 1.1 GWh, marking a significant step forward in scaling energy storage infrastructure. The agreement reflects a shared ambition to strengthen clean energy systems by combining technical expertise and market capabilities.

Jinko ESS will deploy its full stack, self-developed technologies to deliver a range of energy storage solutions tailored to different applications. These include utility scale ground mounted systems as well as commercial and industrial deployments. The utility scale systems incorporate high energy density battery cells and intelligent liquid cooling, enabling longer cycle life and improved system efficiency. These features are expected to support grid peak shaving and frequency regulation, while improving the integration of renewable energy sources.

For commercial and industrial users, the solutions are designed with high integration and flexible deployment in mind. This allows for coordinated operation across multiple scenarios, supported by intelligent operation and maintenance systems. The approach positions energy storage as a flexible asset for regional energy management.

Damon Duan, General Manager of Jinko ESS China, said the agreement represents a key milestone in strengthening the company’s footprint in the domestic energy storage market. He added that Jinko ESS will leverage its high performance and reliable systems to support project delivery and execution, while contributing to the broader adoption of energy storage and the development of a modern power system aligned with China’s dual carbon objectives.
