JA Solar meets with leaders of Rees Tech of Egypt and AFKAR Co. of Sudan

  • JA Solar recently welcomed Chairman Mr. Ibrahim Gamal and CEO Mr. Ahmed Abdelfatah, who jointly lead Rees Tech of Egypt and AFKAR Co. of Sudan, to its Beijing headquarters.

During the meeting, these leaders expressed their high regard for JA Solarโ€™s outstanding comprehensive capabilities and its significant achievements in advancing green energy across Africa. They also shared the challenges their companies currently face and expressed their keen interest in collaborating more closely with JA Solar in 2025 to jointly promote the development and application of photovoltaic (PV) technology in the African market.

Mr. Zhu provided an overview of JA Solarโ€™s presence in Africa. In recent years, JA Solar has rapidly expanded its business in the region, achieving top market share in several African countries. JA Solarโ€™s high-performance modules are well-suited to the natural conditions of Africa and are the preferred choice for major projects in the region, including the Kom Ombo Abydos solar project, which is the largest PV project in Africa. This year, JA Solar also delivered its first commercial and industrial energy storage systems to the African market. JA Solar looks forward to collaborating closely with Rees Tech and AFKAR Co. to further unlock the potential of solar power in Africa and foster a sustainable energy future for the region.

With the ongoing push for energy diversification across African nations, the potential for renewable energy development is immense.
