Intersolar Europe Cancelled

  • PV industry events organizer Solar Promotion GmbH and Freiburg promotional body FWTM GmbH & Co KG today announced the Intersolar Europe solar and energy storage trade show will not take place this year.

“On account of the major impact anticipated across all industries and the uncertainties in planning even for the second half of the year, we have decided to cancel the 2020 event and wait until June 2021 to hold it again,” the two companies said in a message to exhibitors.

The decision, the organizers said, was taken in accordance with exhibitors and industry associations and in response to the rising number of Covid-19 infections worldwide and the containment measures introduced as a result.

“The next The smarter E Europe [show]is set to take place from June 9-11, 2021,” the companies confirmed.

The event is the largest fair in Europe dedicated to the solar and energy storage sectors. This year, according to the organizers, it was expected to host around 1,400 exhibitors from 45 countries and attract 50,000 visitors from more than 160 countries.
