- A german solar PV mounting system manufacturer, Novotegra, has been awarded iF Design Award 2022 in the category “Building Technology” for their innovative mounting system for green roofs.
The use of recycled plastic makes the PV system an even more sustainable solution. In contrast to conventional flat roof systems, the high module supports ensure a greater distance between the module and the roof surface, thereby preventing the green roof from shading the modules.

The honeycomb base plates, which are also made of recycled plastic, are installed overlapping in a chequerboard pattern. The innovative system offers a highly flexible solution that guarantees quick and easy installation of the substructure without measuring. The few components of the system also simplify storage and logistics.
