GWEC releases Global Offshore Wind Report 2025

The Global Offshore Wind Report 2025 comes to you at a time of unprecedented change, as the world moves at speed towards the ‘Age of Electricity’. The report highlights that the offshore wind industry added another 8GW of capacity in 2024, the fourth highest year ever, which brought total installed offshore wind capacity globally to 83 GW – enough to power 73 million households. The report calls for industry and governments to work together on the key issues of auctions and permitting reform to deliver the next stage of offshore wind growth.
