- To improve efficiency in its operations, Eskom has issued an invitation to tender for a Barcoding and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) solution within Eskom’s Generation Warehouses.
- The tender advertisement was published in the Tender Bulletin on Eskom’s and on the National Treasury’s websites on 31 August 2022. The tender closing date is 19 September 2022.
The solution is expected to automate the current paper-based process to reduce incidents of stock pilferage, enhance stock accuracy and to increase productivity. Eskom is committed to recovering its operations by driving digital transformation (business productivity and operational efficiency) to improve spares and plant availability.
Eskom encourages service Providers to review the RFP and respond accordingly with their proposed solutions.
