Botswana Power Corp tenders for small scale off-grid solar PV

  • Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) is committed to enhancing electricity access through cost-effective and efficient solutions in support of the Government initiatives of improving electricity access and connectivity.
  • As part of this effort, BPC invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from locally registered companies with proven expertise in deploying small-scale solar PV plants with a minimum capacity of 30 kW.
  • Companies with experience in integrating systems with distribution voltage levels of at least 11 kV will have an added advantage.

Scope of Work

The selected companies will be responsible for:

  • Developing detailed designs for small-scale solar PV plants, ensuring alignment with BPC standards and regulations.
  • Developing detailed designs for small-scale solar PV plants that align with BPC standards and regulations.
  • Procuring and installing necessary equipment, including solar panels, inverters, and balance-of-system components.
  • Testing and commissioning the solar PV plants to ensure compliance with technical requirements and proper functionality.
  • Ensuring seamless interfacing with an off-grid power distribution network at a minimum voltage level of 11 kV.
