  • 7Secondsolar is named as finalist of the prestigious smarter E AWARD 2025 in the Category “Photovoltaics” for the application AUTOPV.

AUTOPV is an innovative software solution for planning multi-megawatt PV installations in an intelligent and cost-effective way. It enables real-time iterations, thereby automating the design process. The program calculates precise, viable system layouts with optimum cable routes, component placement and detailed loss analyses.

It also provides comprehensive bills of materials and CAD drawings. This makes it possible to compare different scenarios quickly and effortlessly to minimize construction costs and maximize energy yields. AUTOPV has already been used to successfully plan PV installations with an output of over 1.8 GW.

The energy transition is advancing rapidly on a global scale. In many places, electricity from renewable sources of energy is no longer the exception; it is now the rule. This shift would simply not have been possible without future-oriented, innovative companies and their technology, ideas and concepts. Todayโ€™s best and most innovative new developments have been nominated for The smarter E AWARD 2025.

This coveted prize is awarded in a total of five categories: Photovoltaics, Energy Storage, E-Mobility, Smart Integrated Energy and Outstanding Projects. The winners will be honored on the eve of The smarter E Europe on May 6 from 6:00pm at the International Congress Center Messe Mรผnchen (ICM). Those who wish to join the occasion can attend the ceremony free of charge. Europeโ€™s largest alliance of exhibitions for the energy industry unites four exhibitions (Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe and EM-Power Europe) and will take place at Messe Mรผnchen from May 7โ€“9.

Green Building Africa promotes the need for net carbon zero buildings and cities in Africa. We are fiercely independent and encourage outlying thinkers to contribute to the #netcarbonzero movement. Climate change is upon us and now is the time to react in a more diverse and broader approach to sustainability in the built environment. We challenge architects, property developers, urban planners, renewable energy professionals and green building specialists. We also challenge the funding houses and regulators and the role they play in facilitating investment into green projects. Lastly, we explore and investigate new technology and real-time data to speed up the journey in realising a net carbon zero environment for our children.
