- The Africa Energy Indaba 2025, taking place from 4–6 March 2025 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, will spotlight the critical role of development finance in advancing Africa’s energy sector.
- With the continent’s growing demand for reliable and sustainable energy, access to tailored financing solutions is essential to unlock Africa’s vast energy potential.
Africa’s energy sector requires an estimated $190 billion annually by 2030, with nearly half allocated to renewable energy. Development finance institutions (DFIs), multilateral organisations, and private sector stakeholders play a pivotal role in bridging this gap. These entities provide funding and de-risking mechanisms to support large-scale energy projects, stimulate private investment, and ensure equitable access to energy across the continent.
