Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality signs wheeling PPA for 15MW solar power

  • Soventix SA (Pty) Ltd together with AFRICOAST ENERGY has signed  a 15 MW Solar PV PPA  with African Pioneer Group and energy trader PowerX.
  • The off-taker is the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. 

The R250 million Greenbushes Solar site will create 50 jobs. It is hoped the project will be a catalyst for more development in Nelson Mandela Bay’s undeveloped, environmentally degraded western peri-urban fringe.

By means of a wheeling agreement through, trading platform PowerX , African Pioneer Group, who will delivering clean renewable energy to the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.
