- Portugal’s MCA Group and US firm Sun Africa have commissioned the 7.8 MW Bailundo Solar Plant in Huambo Province, marking the completion of seven solar projects with the combined capacity of 370 MW.
The seven facilities, which includes associated transmission infrastructure, is expected to provide clean electricity to an estimated 2.4 million people. Read more
“This project represents not only a challenge overcome with excellence, but also a significant improvement in the quality of life of the communities involved,” said MCA Group Chairman Manuel Couto Alves.
“The solar farm will strengthen electricity production and distribution in the Bailundo municipality where life is marked by irregular supply and frequent blackouts,” added Alves.
