JinkoSolar Starts Manufacturing at 8 GW TOPCon Cell Factory

  • Solar manufacturer JinkoSolar has announced that its 8 GW TOPCon cell factory in the Anhui Province has started manufacturing activities
  • Jinko Solar is the largest solar panel manufacturer in the world in terms of cumulative global shipments boasting accolades for the highest quality and performance.
  • JinkoSolar is also is set to issue 2 billion of the 10 billion shares its main operating unit, Jinko Solar Co Ltd, will have following its planned initial public offering (IPO) on the Sci-Tech innovation board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange this month. Read more

“N-type Topcon cells are most likely to become the second most common photovoltaic technology in the world after PERC cell, representing around 15% of the world market in 2022.” according to JinkoSolar. “Compared to other new technology options, N-type TOPCon cells can be manufactured quickly and inexpensively, providing a lower-cost alternative to replace PERC as the next mainstream solution.” Read more

JinkoSolar has also invested in a second super-smart cell factory in Zhejiang province to expand its N-type solar manufacturing capacity to 16 GW by end of 2022. Read more
