- South Africa’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) Bid Window 6 has an increase in capacity threshold specification.
The criteria states that each project must have a contracted capacity within the range specified below for each technology:
Onshore wind
- 50MW Minimum Contracted Capacity
- 240MW Maximum Contracted Capacity (previously 140MW)
Solar PV
- 50MW Minimum Contracted Capacity
- 240MW Maximum Contracted Capacity (previously 75MW)

The wndow seeks to procure a total capacity of 2600MW split between 1600MW for onshore wind and 1000MW for Solar PV.
