  • Astronergy has secured a significant bid of 2050 megawatts from a centralized procurement bidding launched by the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), underscoring the advanced technology, superior quality, and the trust placed in Astronergy by one of China’s most prestigious state-owned enterprises.

CNPC is China’s largest oil and gas producer and supplier, in recent years, it has accelerated the development of a model that deeply integrates oil and gas exploration and production with new energy. Its large-scale development of new energy has comprehensively sped up and has had cooperations with Astronergy in past few years.

Over the past two years, Astronergy has won the bid for nearly 4GW of CNPC projects, offered high-quality products for CNPC in constructing solar power plants and contributed strengths in helping CNPC to create a ‘PV + oil and gas field’ composite development pattern, which provides a replicable technological path for the low-carbon development of oil and gas fields.

Winning a bid with a total capacity of 2,050MW in the competitive landscape of state-owned enterprise procurement demonstrates Astronergy’s robust engineering capabilities and the strength of our global supply chain. This victory not only deepens our strategic relationship with CNPC but also opens new avenues for collaboration within China’s dynamic renewable energy market, accelerating the transition towards a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

This award from CNPC validates Astronergy’s efforts in developing cutting-edge PV technology and reflects its commitment to supporting large-scale projects that drive the clean energy revolution.

Green Building Africa promotes the need for net carbon zero buildings and cities in Africa. We are fiercely independent and encourage outlying thinkers to contribute to the #netcarbonzero movement. Climate change is upon us and now is the time to react in a more diverse and broader approach to sustainability in the built environment. We challenge architects, property developers, urban planners, renewable energy professionals and green building specialists. We also challenge the funding houses and regulators and the role they play in facilitating investment into green projects. Lastly, we explore and investigate new technology and real-time data to speed up the journey in realising a net carbon zero environment for our children.
