LED Floodlighting for Parel Vallei High School’s Hockey Field

  • With so many hockey teams, Parel Vallei High School struggled to accommodate all the teams to practice.
  • OMNIblast-2-E Maxi LED floodlights were chosen for their high performance, high energy saving capabilities, and long lifetime.
  • In addition, the OMNIblast-E guarantees perfect glare control and a high colour rendering index (CRI).
  • Now, with the hockey field illuminated, they have more hours at their disposal for all the teams to train, as well as to accommodate outside clubs and host prestigious hockey events.

The locally manufactured OMNIblast-E is the ideal tool for sports venues and other very large area applications that require a lighting solution with the highest efficiency and flexibility to adapt to the different lighting needs. Available in a Midi and Maxi variant, this LED solution offers an alternative with proven benefits for traditional fixtures fitted with 250W to 2000W HID lamps.

The OMNIblast-E meets various lighting applications, ranging from general area lighting to recreational sports lighting up to professional broadcasting requirements, matching the horizontal and vertical lighting levels respectively. A modular concept of optical units means that 1, 2 or 3 modules can be mounted on a similar bracket arrangement to offer the utmost versatility, providing light distributions and lumen packages perfectly adapted to the specifications of the area to be lit.

BEKA Schréder locally develops and manufactures energy-efficient LED lighting products, designed and suitable for local conditions. We are very proud to be associated with Parel Vallei High School, Eimac Consulting Engineers and Unathi-Group in providing a successful floodlighting solution for this prestigious project.

Green Building Africa promotes the need for net carbon zero buildings and cities in Africa. We are fiercely independent and encourage outlying thinkers to contribute to the #netcarbonzero movement. Climate change is upon us and now is the time to react in a more diverse and broader approach to sustainability in the built environment. We challenge architects, property developers, urban planners, renewable energy professionals and green building specialists. We also challenge the funding houses and regulators and the role they play in facilitating investment into green projects. Lastly, we explore and investigate new technology and real-time data to speed up the journey in realising a net carbon zero environment for our children.
