  • Request for Bids for Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of hybrid/off-grid solar photovoltaic plants with battery energy storage systems for 25 health facilities in Maroodi-jeeh and Awdal Regions with 2 years Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services.

Theย Government of Somalilandย has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of theย Somali Electricity Sector Recovery Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Contract forย Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of hybrid/off-grid solar photovoltaic plants with battery energy storage systems for 25 health facilities in Maroodi-jeeh and Awdal Regions with 2 years of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Services.

For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bankโ€™s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.

Theย Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Somalilandย now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders forย Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of hybrid/off-grid solar photovoltaic plants with battery energy storage systems for 25 health facilities in Maroodi-jeeh and Awdal Regions with 2 years of Operations and Maintenance (O&M)ย Services as per details below. The duration of the contract will be 8 months from the Effective Date of the contract.

Bidding will be conducted throughย international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB)ย as specified in the World Bankโ€™s โ€œProcurement Regulations for IPF Borrowersโ€ dated September 2023(โ€œProcurement Regulationsโ€) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Deadline for submissions is 17th December 2024.
