  • Mr Phumzile Tshelane has been removed from his position as the Chief Executive Officer and Board member of Nuclear Energy Corporation of SA (NECSA).
  • The announcement was made earlier today by South Africa’s Energy Minister, Mr Jeff Radebe

In a brief statement earlier today South Africa’s Energy Minister Mr Jeff Radebe confirmed that  after considering the serious nature of the charges against Mr Phumzile Tshelane together with the Board resolution and the recommendation of the Disciplinary Panel, he has remove Mr Phumzile Tshelane in his position as the Chief Executive Officer and Board member of Nuclear Energy Corporation of SA (NECSA).

Tshelane was also party to a cooperation agreement signed with Rusatom Healthcare, a subsidiary of Russian nuclear agency Rosatom.
