Niger Tenders for 50MW Solar PV Plant

  • The government of Niger has launched an tender for a 50MW solar PV plant.
  • The build own operate (BOO) independent power producer (IPP) tender will be administered under the World Bank Group’s Scaling Solar Programme.  
  • The plant will be built on the Gourou Banda plateau, near the Niger capital, Niamey. 
  • The tender closes 22ndNovember 2021

Niger’s Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Renewable Energies is launching a call for expressions of interest for the construction of a 50 MWp solar photovoltaic plant.

The pre-qualification process will allow the selection of an IPP to design, finance, build, install and commission the plant. The IFC Advisory will act as lead advisor in administering the tender.
