Niger seeks consultants for development works for 60MW solar plus storage project

  • State-owned Niger Electricity Co. seeks firms offering feasibility studies and ESIA for the construction of a 60 MW solar PV power plant with storage in Tahoua.
  • Funding will come from the African Development Bank.
  • Closing date for expressions of interest must be submitted by 2nd December 2024.

The Consultant’s services consist of:

Establish the technical-economic feasibility for the construction of a 60 MWp solar PV power plant with storage in Tahoua including an estimate of the costs and the construction schedule as well as produce the related reports and the Project Note;

Carry out the environmental and social impact study (ESIA) and develop a possible Resettlement Action Plan (PAR) (if necessary) according to the standards of Niger and the African Development Bank (AfDB);

Develop the Call for Tender Documents (DAO) following the ADB model based on the choices made by the client.
