LONGi to Build a New 20MW Capacity Solar Panel Manufacturing Plant in China

  • LONGi, the world’s largest solar company, has revealed plans to build a new 20MW capacity solar panel manufacturing plant in Anhui province, China.

LONGi has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the government of Wuhu, Anhui province, for a new 20 GW module factory. It will be built in two 10 GW phases, to be finalized in the second quarter of this year and the second quarter of 2024.

In other news, LONGi Hydrogen will the supply world leading large scale ALK electrolysis equipment to the Sinopec Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project. The project is China’s first 10,000 ton green hydrogen project and the world’s largest green hydrogen project so far.

LONGi recently announced that its name has been officially changed to LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd, to reflect a more comprehensive business scale in renewable and green technology, including the recent announcement that it is entering thegreen hydrogen equipment manufacturing field.
