- India’s National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has been awarded a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract for the development of 500 MW Solar Park in Mali.
- The announcement was made last week in New Delhi at event hosted by the International Solar Alliancechaired by India’s New and Renwable Energy Minister, Mr R K Singh.
- ISA is an international, inter-Governmental organization, based in India, created with the vision and leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and announced jointly with President of France during COP21 held in Paris in 2015.
The Republic of Mali has been taking various initiatives towards energy security of the country, especially to increase access to electricity for its citizens, with a focus on solar power and applications. Development of Solar Projects in Mali will make a considerable impact in socio-economic growth of Mali. They recently exempted solar PV and renewables equipment from VAT imports. Read more
